Since the latest release of SAP Business ByDesign (21.02), SAP offers a direct integration between the Cloud ERP and Microsoft Teams. Currently, the add-on is still in the controlled beta phase. This means that selected customers are already allowed to work with it today before the integration is made available to all customers. General availability is currently expected for release 21.05 (i.e. in May 2021).

With Microsoft Teams the user can access SAP Business ByDesign business objects, to get details and business contexts.

View Opportunity Lists
By accessing SAP Business ByDesign opportunities via Microsoft Teams add-on, business users can create new opportunities and view / edit existing opportunities. A company’s sales team can share the information contained in these opportunities via Microsoft Teams and work on them together.
View Account Lists
By accessing SAP Business ByDesign customers via Microsoft Teams add-on, business users can create new customers and view / edit existing customers. A company’s sales team can share the information contained in these accounts via Microsoft Teams and work on them together.
Opportunity-Pipeline in MS Teams
Business users (depending on access rights) can view the opportunity pipeline via Microsoft Teams and select by opportunity numbers, values and products. Jumping to the respective opportunities is also possible.
ByDesign Dashboards in MS Teams
Business users can access the dashboards created in SAP Business ByDesign to check KPIs and report cards created within the dashboards – across different work centers.
Access Opportunities with MS Teams
Business users can access opportunities in SAP Business ByDesign with MS Teams. This includes the overview, products and prices, communication data, sales team participants, partners and competitor insight.
Access Customers via MS Teams
Users in Microsoft Teams can view and edit the master data of customers. This includes basic data, general data, sales data, bank data, and financial data.
Project access via MS Teams
Business users can view and edit SAP Business ByDesign projects via Microsoft Teams.
Today’s restrictions
- SSO (Single Sign On) is currently not available
- The black theme and the high contrast theme are currently not available
